I am 36 years old and began my weight loss journey the fall of 2017. I took my son to his pediatric annual check up to find out that he had gained 20 pounds in a year’s time. My son is considered obese for his age and height. The doctor looked to me, and was addressing his unhealthy habits were a result of my unhealthy habits. Although it was the truth, it was so hurtful to hear out loud, and embarrassing to have my child hear it too. I have been battling with weight my whole life. It only got worse when I became a parent because I had immediately become a single mother when my son was born.
My struggle began in middle school. We had just moved to a new place. Baggy clothes were in. I began to hide in them. The baggier, the better they were for me. My parents were both working, and I was the oldest of my siblings. If my mom didn’t cook, then I was responsible to make sure my siblings ate. We would eat dinner, but then we would all snack later. I would use gym class as opportunities to help lose some of the weight. I signed up for classes like “conditioning,” that involved a lot of running, and I played soccer for a recreation league. It wasn’t enough though, by the time I was a senior in high school, I was at 5’3” and 170 pounds. According to the doctor at the time, I was considered obese. I had stopped playing soccer. I didn’t think I was going to make the team, so I didn’t even try out.
From ages 21-23, I had partied with friends drinking every weekend and eating fast food early in the mornings, until I finally got tired of it. I had gained even more weight. A week before my 25th birthday, I became a mother. I was at 235 pounds. The years that followed became a rollercoaster of fad dieting, workouts without the nutrition, and then giving up all over again. Before I knew it, I was 264 pounds. I didn’t even recognize myself in the photos, nor did I even want to be in them.
My Aunt and uncle were able to convince my dad to try Isagenix, and he wanted me to join him in this incredible journey. Within days I was feeling and seeing a difference. After the first month, I was ready to keep going. After 6-8 weeks, my family, friends, and coworkers started to take notice. My clothes got baggier. My face started to slim down. I had extra amounts of energy, but most of all, my attitude towards everything became more positive.
I have freed myself of 110 pounds! I run 2-5 miles each time I take myself out for a run! I’m wearing sizes small and medium! I’m coaching my son’s soccer team with my father. I’m sleeping better. Best of all, my son has caught on, and he’s making moves for himself. I can’t help but share how much this has changed my life. Isagenix gave me another chance to do what I never thought of doing.
You can achieve anything in this life if you push past your fears, “fake it, till you make it”and have a support system of people who believe in you even when you don’t believe in yourself. ANYTHING… I’ve seen it now in my career in technology… Since taking on the role of Sr. Manager supporting one of my companies most profitable accounts I have built up a leadership team that has put in processes to support over 23,000 servers with just over 62 technical resources and while meeting all of our service level agreements, making work-life balance better and showing the best monthly numbers in over 4 years. 4 years ago, we had over 300 staff and 14,000 servers.
Most notably I have seen it in the last year as I took a leap of faith when I found out I was going to be a grandfather… You all know that story, so I won’t go into detail but quickly recap: ALL MY LIFE I struggled with weight and energy. I have not always been morbidly obese, but I have been big enough to be called “the coat guy” because I was so uncomfortable with my body image that I’d wear my coat as a kid (and adult) even in the summer. I tried exercise (consistently and over time), every diet, system and plan under the sun and never got the results that I have gotten on the program I am on. I will be on this program for the rest of my life! It’s not a diet, it’s weight wellness. And the nutrition gets your body, energy and mind to its optimum state. I have lost 135lbs, put some back on in lean muscle, and I love to exercise for the first time in my life.
As I started this journey, several people have joined me. I was not at the time “advertising” that I could help them, it was simply a matter of them seeing Rana and my results in inch/weight reduction in combination with our happiness and energy we started bringing to relationships and they reached out to us. I happily shared our system with them and when they made the decision to start the program, I made it priority number one to be the best coach I could for them. I made it my mission to believe in them the way that Travis, Leo and many others in my life believed in me.
My brother-in-law, Dana Steele, lost 102 lbs, his daughter, Julie Steele, has lost almost 100 lbs.My wife, Rana, lost 55 lbs… My other brother-in-law, dean Steele, has lost 30lbs., his daughter lost 20 lbs… Brad Byers, one of the best managers I have ever had work for me in IT has lost 41 lbs… Brad struggled to get some of that off the old-fashioned way before joining us with our program. The funny thing is, the weight loss for ALL of us (put me in check if it’s not true in the comments team) quickly became secondary to how the right nutrition made us feel. It’s the energy, the focus and clarity… It’s the overall dawn and sunrise we all began to experience after a long and dark winter. It’s being able to feel better than we have in years and for me personally better than I can ever remember feeling. It’s being part of a wellness program with no-compromise,science backed products and a community of people who share the same mindset:Believe in others.
After a little over a year with this health and wellness company and community, I have made the decision that I will spend my life trying to help anyone in need of what we have to offer and to build a team of like minded people who want to do the same. Please don’t think I am out to corner or pressure anyone, or that I am on some “get rich quick” scam or scheme… I know anything worth something in life is hard work, but I also know that if you find something you are passionate about and love, it’s not really work so I will do whatever I can to help the world become healthy and happy. I will shout from the rooftops that I have something special that I want to share with you, but I will never pressure you. Success with our program is not just will power, a product or a community… It starts with you. It starts with your “Why” and that why goes beyond “I want to lose a few pounds to fit into my old jeans” … It requires you to take a step out of your comfort zone and at least allow me and others to “Believe in you even when you don’t believe in yourself”. It requires that you are willing to “fake it till you make it” at times.
Looking back at my life, I know that everything that happened tome led me to this point. I WILL believe in you always, in all you want to achieve. Not just in health and wellness but whatever you passions and dreams are. I think we all could change ANYTHING in the world if we all focused on that more. I believe because others have believed in me, even when I did not believe in myself!
One day in early June of 2018, I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a picture of my friend Dana. I know Dana through our local youth soccer league. My kids and his grand-kids played soccer together. I was amazed at his transformation at his 90 day mark. I thought to myself, if he can lose 65 pounds.
I was tired of my feet hurting, my back hurting. Not being able to walk around the Zoo with my kids without stopping to catch my breath. I would hid from cameras or hide behind people in the photo so you could only see my face. On February 9th 2019 I hit my goal and lost 100 pounds! It took me 8 months and I was never able to exercise due to an ongoing knee issue. My blood pressure is lower, I have energy during the day. I don’t find myself dozing off during the day. My feet and back no longer hurt. I was able to walk around the Zoo with my kids and didn’t have to stop to catch my breath. After not attending a Marine Corps Ball in 7 years I was able to put on my Dress Blues and attend with some good friends. I was also able to attend the retirement of the aircraft I worked on. In preparation for the events I had to have my suits altered. For the first time in my life, the seamstress had to take my clothes in and not let them out. Or tell me there was no material left to let out so I would have to buy a new suit like I had to in the past. I feel great! I believe I am a happier person since I started this program. I am very grateful for Dana stepping into my office and offering to help me. I will never be able to repay him.
My name is Helen Witmer I am 33 years old. I started this program on July 13th, 2018, at 254 lbs. I am 8 months in, and I’m 82 lbs down, and weighing in at 172 lbs. as of March 17th), 2019. I joined this program to improve my health and become a part of a Tribe of “like-minded” people, after having back surgery on May 15th, 2018. Being overweight has always been a struggle for me. I have had a gym membership from Planet Fitness since they opened. I would workout on the weekends, but I was missing an essential ingredient in my life… nutrition! Thanks to my mentor, my coaches, and my team members, I continue to push myself and achieve new goals each and every day! My goal is set for 💯 lbs loss! I’m getting closer and closer! Be a part of our tribe! You won’t regret it! We MOTIVATE, INSPIRE and TRANSFORM each other the Phoenix way!
“In April 2018 I took my daughter to Universal Studios for her Spring Break. There was a ride that she wanted to go on called “ The Hulk.” Unfortunately, she never got an opportunity to ride it… I was too big to fit in the seat. I absolutely wanted to cry. Seeing the look on her face simply broke my heart. But my daughter is such a loving person, she didn’t want me to hurt any worse than I already was, so simply looked at me and said, “It’s okay.” We still had a great time at the park, but the thought of letting her down just wouldn’t leave my mind.”
“When we finally returned home, I still hadn’t stopped thinking about how embarrassed I was for being unable to fit into that seat, and how I had let my daughter down. I knew I was way overweight, and I had to doing something for my health. I had been watching my good friend, Julie, and father, Dana, on Facebook as they were going through this amazing transformation! They did a “reveal” on Facebook to mark they’re 90th day on their health and wellness system. It was amazing to see how much weight the two of them had lost and how great they looked! When Julie reached out to me and told what she was using and how they did it, I initially rejected it. I just didn’t believe losing that kind of weight like they lost, could be as simple as she said, and I just didn’t have confidence in myself I could do it. This was in June of 2018.”
“In September 2018, Julie hosted an event at her home, where guests could receive information about her lifestyle system and get an opportunity to taste and sample the products. I brought my daughter along with me. I listened intently to the stories shared by the users of the system, and it was a truly moving and emotional experience. At one point I began to cry as I thought about what they had gone through, the pain, depression, and suffering they had felt, and how I had been feeling and experiencing all those same emotions. It was then that it hit me… I NEEDED TO CHANGE MY LIFE!“
“I eventually got past my self doubt and I mustered up the courage to contact Julie and give her system a chance. Since making that decision to commit to changing my life, I have never looked back. It’s the best decision I have made in a long, long time! The system is called “Isagenix,” and I have been on it for 6 months, I’m down 78 lbs., I have more energy than ever, and I enjoy going to the gym regularly. My daughter has been my biggest Hero! She works out with me and pushes me, when no one else would help me. I’m so glad I joined Isagenix, because without it, I wouldn’t be the person who I am today!”
